Training to PACT members through Blue School Program activities.
  • WASH Activities
    • Children have a right to basic facilities such as safe school toilets, safe drinking water, hand washing stations, safe surroundings, and basic information on hygiene. If these conditions are created, children learn better and can bring concepts and practices on sanitation and hygiene back to their families. Schools can play an important role in bringing about behavioral changes and promoting better health. Improved hygiene practices are essential if transmission routes of water- and sanitation-related diseases are to be cut. Diseases such as diarrhea, parasitic worm infections, skin, and eye diseases, need to be tackled by making improvements to water and sanitation facilities. These improvements in facilities must go hand in hand with hygiene behavior change and practice if the transmission of the disease is to be prevented. Concerning this matter, this activity has been designed.
  • Waste Management and Composting
    • Organic fertilizer is environmentally friendly to consume to yield hygienic production from wastage and garbage. If farmers acknowledge waste management and compositing from which they could save money for fertilizer proper waste management and composting one can make fertilizer at the household level too. It also helps the environment from pollution and makes our surroundings clean and safe.
  • Use of Green House/Poly house
    •  Producing vegetables before or after their season can be a good source of income for farmers. Any agriculture product has a higher price in its off-season. In temperate regions or cool climates, the use of a greenhouse using polythene sheets is a good and cheap technology for off-season vegetable production. There are good opportunities for off-season vegetable production in the target area through which farmers can generate better employment opportunities as well as farmers in the working area are also interested in off-season vegetable production but lack knowledge about the use of greenhouses. Hence, the project will assist them to provide knowledge on off-season vegetable production through the appropriate use of Poly House technology.
  • Construction Management
    • The construction management part is a major part of the Blue School Project. The PACT committee will be orientated since the team will support construction. Team members will learn about the principles of project construction and learn to manage the running activities during construction. Every member of PACT will gain knowledge about activities going along with construction in School.
