Rainwater Harvesting
Using the rooftop of school building, rainwater is collected and stored in ferro cement tank of 20,000 liter

Since 2012, Kanchan Nepal has been at the forefront of promoting and advocating for rainwater harvesting in Nepal through its Blue School Programme. A significant part of this initiative involves constructing 20,000-liter ferro cement tanks in schools across the country. These tanks are crucial in capturing and storing rainwater, providing a reliable and sustainable source of water for various uses in the school environment. By implementing these large-scale rainwater harvesting systems, Kanchan Nepal ensures that schools have access to clean and adequate water supplies throughout the year, even during dry seasons.
