To enhance agricultural sustainability and biodiversity, the project involves various key steps: structuring a seedbank, mobilizing community and authorities, consolidating networks at local, regional, and national levels, preserving traditional species through seed selection, organizing seed exchanges and fairs, creating a local seed catalog, and providing training. These efforts aim to ensure the availability and exchange of diverse seeds, empower communities, and promote the use and preservation of traditional agricultural varieties.

Community seed bank is one of key activities of the rain communities project under integrated resource management of water and ecosystem in central Nepal.
